Negative Emotions Are Traps

Negative emotions, like anxiety, can trap us too easily.  The antidote is becoming more rational and logical.  Our negative emotions should not control our lives.  If we're anxious, we need to learn how to calm down, we need to loosen our muscles, and take a slow deep breath.  We need to focus on external things (not on our internal emotions).

Negative emotions are an easy trap to fall into.  The more you can see and understand that you are surrendering to negative emotions (Automatic negative thoughts) and letting them control you the easier you will see it's vital to do something differently.  Anxiety does not have the power to control you when you know and fully understand all these rational things.
